I totally hear and feel your pain, I’m so sorry for your loss. Today, I’m 5 days out myself, and just brought my Sweet Boy, Mel, back home. His ashes are in my living room, where he often lounged and enjoyed the warm sun rays coming through the windows.

No words and not much can be done to make us feel any better. I can barely manage to even fake a smile. I empathize in your pain as well. I take some solace knowing it’s okay to feel what I feel as we go through this process. Let’s be gentle with ourselves in this time, as I’m sure that’s what my beloved Pooch would want for me. Please keep reaching out if you want.

Sending hugs,

Mel-a-rator’s Mommy

I’m so sorry for your loss... My baby will be cremated tomorrow. Its the soonest they had. I’m hoping bringing his ashes back home will bring some comfort. I’ve been beating myself up with grief, guilt, and feeling that he’s cold and all alone at the crematory.
