It is hard to believe it has been a year since my cat Sheila passed on. We had a very interactive relationship and after 18+ years we knew each other very well. I still miss her deeply.

The support from this forum was and is amazing and helped me get through a difficult time. Your kindness really made a difference. May God bless you and provide comfort to all of you.

Dear Shaggy,

Wow has it been that long ago already. Sheila you are and always will be such a beautiful girl. Your fur parent sure misses you. Until You Meet Again. My thoughts and prayers are with you on this day.

Happy One Year Rainbow Bridge Day Sheila. Hope you and my Nikki who has been there over 3 years now are good friends. Hope you are having a big party with all of your fur friends to celebrate.

Sending you big (((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) Shaggy.

Take care,
Terri(Nikki'sMom)

Thanks Tdawg.  I still think about Sheila regularly as she is my desktop photo.  I hugged her alot in those last days but it is never enough.  I miss her meows every morning and the smell of her fur.

I now have 2 cats and both are very quite.  One is a 5 year old stray that I took in.  She is still very shy (has never meowed - vet says nothing physically wrong) but likes to sleep on the bed.  She is a big gray Maine coon mix at close to 14 lbs. All fur and muscle!  A very regal and majestic cat.

I also rescued an 8 year old that was the product of a divorce situation.  Really sweet dilute calico cat that is very curious and an athletic 11.5 lbs.  She acts more like a kitten than an adult but can still be a lap cat when she feels like it.

Two cats is about right for me.  I can give them all the attention they want and probably more.  Together they have helped fill the void of Sheila's absence.  I hope I am fortunate enough to have them for many more years.

I remember Sheila's sweet picture!  She is a beautiful little girl.  When you first lose your pet, you can't imagine one day without them and now she's been at the bridge for one year.  Thankfully, there are so many memories to warm our hearts.  I hope Sheila had a great celebration at the bridge with all of our sweet babies.
