I got panther march of 2019. He was supposed to be 3 months old and fixed. I brought him to my vet. He was under weight and had Giardia. It took 4 doses of meds to cure it... and i fought every step of the way. He gained weighed and is the most adorable lovable guy ever. His one year check up in jan. Of this year went well.. he weighed 11 lbs and perfect health. On the 19th of feb. It seems panther got a cold. So we took him to the vet. He had a 104.2 temp. Jaundice.. and the vet felt a mass in his stomach. We put him on antibiotics and an appetite stimulant. Seeing he hadnt been eating, peeing, or drinking. And he had diarrhea. Over the course of the weekend he has slowly got worse. And all my options for treating the mass and jaundice were exhausted. And no cash to get a 1000 stomach ultrasound. (These vets are ridiculous) The vet said hehas liver failure and most likely the mass is a tumor. Panther is vomiting every other day.. not drinking... trying to eat at times but very little. I think the time has come that we can euthanize. But i feel horrible.. i feel like im a horrible person. I love him so much. I dont want him to suffer so im making the decision and its hard. This morning he seems to perk up a little which makes this even harder to do... but i know the not eating and vomiting and diarrhea have slowly taken a toll.. i feel like im giving up on him.. As the time comes closer to the appointment i cant seem to hold myself together and knowing that i am making the right decision. Thank you all for listening to me vent.
