Two weeks ago I suddenly and unexpectedly lost my beautiful kitty boy Rascal who was nearly 20 years old.  It seemed especially cruel because I was so worried about Whiskers and had been ministering to him for a month.  Now, Whiskers is at a different vet again (mine was out of town today) and they believe he has multiple problems: heart, liver, kidneys, and arthritis.
Please say healing prayers for Whiskers.  I took him in today because he is laying on and around the litter box.  I thought he was constipated or had a kidney stone.  Maybe he is just grief sticken like I am about Rascal.  Whiskers just has to get better!  It just can't be anything major.  Please pray for both of us.  (Whiskers is a black and white short hair boy.)

Thanks,
Sheila

Dear Sheila,

I am so sorry to hear that you have had to say farewell to your precious Rascal.  My heart and prayers are with you.  I know how stressful it is to lose one baby and then have another one get sick.  This happened to my little minpin, Ralph, after his 16 year old terrier sister, Betsy, passed away in January.  He actually became so deathly ill one vet "suggested" euthanizing him.  I said "H-LL NO!" and he pulled through.  He is 16.8 years old and he is doing okay now.  Thank God.

Again, many many prayers are being sent up for Whiskers and for you.

Hugs,
Melissa

I will say a healing pray for Wiskers tonight and until you let us know that he is going to be okay.  My thought and prayers are also going out for you for the strength to continue helping your Wiskers even though your heart is breaking.  Your Rascal is with my baby now and both of them are in no pain.  So do whatever you can to comfort yourself and believe that your Wiskers will be fine.

Whiskers seems slightly better today, although he is not his usual self.  Tomorrow he goes in for an echocardiogram.  Please continue your prayers for healing.  I don't know if he is griefstricken too or not about Rascal and that is what is wrong - they were together for 16 years.  He continues to periodically lay by the litter box and is not his usual happy self.

Shelia,

Just to let you know, my sister had 2 basset hounds and 1 passed on (Molly)leaving the other 1 (Fifel) behind.  Fifel became extremely sick so she took the dog to the vet and was told after many, many test that the dog had hepatitis.  They must have treated the dog for about a year going every couple of weeks for blood workup and then one day the test came back that there was nothing wrong with the dog.  When my sister told me that the dog was fine I was so happy that I didn't even question it.  Then my sister said to me "don't you think it's funny that Fifel recovered from a disease that has no recovery?"  Then we talked about it and she is convinced that Fifel was just grieving the loss of Molly.  It was also a physical grief and depression in the dog.

Not only do our animals love us, they love each other so when they lose another animal in the house it's like loosing a brother or sister.

You are all in my prayers and extra special healing prayer, physical and emotional, goes out to Wiskers.
