I had a moment this morning as I was waking up. You know that time between being asleep and being fully awake, where you know you're waking up and what's real and not but it still leaves you confused.
In that moment, my girl was sitting next to me on the floor wagging her tail and kissing my arm to wake me up. I know she wasn't really there, but at the same time, it felt so real.
Then I opened my eyes.. 😢

Often in the morning, as I'm waking up, I'll hear a noise in the house, and my body will respond as though it's my dog.  She has been dead now for a month.  My brain knows she's gone, but the rest of my body doesn't always realize it.

Hello Coco,
According to FREUD, referring to your morning experience, time lapse between pre-conscious to alertness..That feeling is that of the 'subconscious', larger than the conscious mind and accounts for 50/60% of brain capabilities. Sad to awaken to the reality of, yet the Love for our pets, Always with Us. To Happier times.                             Sherry/Perryx
