It's so hard, isn't it? I know how you feel. It hurts but try to remember all those times when your heart was happy and Idgie was there making your heart happy. Our babies tried all their lives to make us happy and they tried to put enough happy in our lives to last. I am going on just over eight months and I am trying to replace all my sad thoughts with the good ones Termy and I made together. I have found myself not sobbing as much and yes, I still shed some tears. I know Idgie and Termy wants us to be happy.
The lessens they taught us was unconditional love and to live in the moment.
Peace to your grieving heart
Love and doggie hugs

Tanker,
You don't have to thank me, I just want to share with you and maybe we can help each other live a "new" normal now that we said good bye to Idgie and Termy. We said good bye to their physical bodies but we never have to say good bye to their spirit. Idgie and Termy will forever be by our side and forever in our hearts. I made Termy a memorial garden and I tend it every day. There is a garden flag with his picture on it and I look at it and say "I miss you Termy" just as you do to Idgie. I don't think we will ever heal to the point where we are in a total bliss as we were when they were still with us. I try to live my life as Termy would want me to, Happy. All we can do is take each day as it comes and thank Idgie and Termy for sharing their lives with us. We are far more richer by having shared our lives with them than most ever get the chance.
Tack care and happy memories of Idgie
Love and doggie hugs
Termy's mom
