It was a wonderful Purim. Everyone had a great time. They all said the carnival was the best ever!! The special recipes that Hershey made were delicious.

As most everyone was resting-The bunnies had a very important job. They had to hide all the  colored  eggs that Callie, Zsa Zsa, Marilyn, Princess and all the others had made. The shop was so busy making up the Easter baskets. Dusty,

Bunz, Blackie, Harriet, and Audie were amazed. They never saw so many baskets for this was their

first Easter at the bridge. They each found time to go to the beautyshop where they got colorful bows.  In the morning as the Bridge residents got up they found their baskets by their beds. It was so exciting. Flowers were blooming everywhere and added to the festive day. After a sumptuous

brunch-it would be time for the Easter Egg Hunt.

The Dining Hall looked just beautiful.

and although the food was delicious,

the hall emptied in record time.

There was an unusual sight

on the tables. Food! Almost never is food left

after meals. There are always some doggies

and kitties willing to wipe the plates clean.

the bunnies did a wonderful job of hiding the eggs.

They were everywhere.

By the time the sun was coming down

on another day everyone was resting with

a big smile on their faces.

Sleep gently our loves.

We are back in preparation mode. Hershey is taking this night to rest and then he is putting his chef hat and apron back on earlyTuesday morning. In a few short weeks Passover will arrive at the Bridge. Hersh is collecting receipes for gefillte fish, and Chrane. He also needs creative ways to use Matzohas. It always give him digestive problems, so he creates but does not nosh.

We hope that all had a Happy Easter.

We now begin to wish all a Sweet Passover or as we say in Yiddish a Zieshen Passach.

Callie is hitting the books doing all of the research she can to help with all of the Passover prep. Her furfriends are waiting for her detailed reports and further instructions.

Mr. Snuggles was spotted, shortly after dinner was finished, running laps. He wants to be sure he is in shape and has plenty of room for the next feast.

Hello Calliewolf,

A true feast it will be. The brisket and chickens have been ordered from the Kosher buthcher in Maine, the Matzohs and other goodies will be shipped into Helena and I will pick it up there and get boxes off to Hershey. The Haggudahs are on the way so he can practice reading in Hebrew the story of the Exodus.

Any and all help will be appreciated.

Hugs,

It may be quiet for now but the celebrations never end at Rainbow Bridge.

Our bridge kids all celebrate everything just like they did here with us.

I love to think of them watching us celebrate holidays and special days and joining in by doing the same kinds of things at the bridge.

So in the future there will be more celebrations through out the year.

Passover is 2008: Begins Sunday, April 20, and ends Sunday, April 27 this year.

Memorial day is May 26th this year

Then comes the 4th of July complete with fireworks that light up the night sky and the miracle is that there is no sound just the bright beautiful colors.

There will be Halloween,Thanksgiving Christmas and New Years and we will start all over again next year  after the New Year celebration with Valentines day.

We will celebrate every special day here and our babies will celebrate right along with us on this forum.

How happy they must be.

Love and Peace and most of all some Joy.

Hi mom,

I just threw a snowball at Silver and started a snow bll fight here at the bridge. You know how much I enjoyed riding on the tobaggan and rolling in Montana Powder. Mozie tell me that there is a lot of moisture in the snow today and that will good for the grass in the backyard. Both Sil and Moz said that Kuggel would not go out, it was too cold and blowy.

Hey, my friends are calling me to continue the new snow fort and also to have a nice warm drink and some scones. Hope all you guys curl up near thee fire and I will keeping throwing snowballs your way.

Love and kisses,

The Hershala

Hello everone,

I was a clue on Jeopardy tonight. My name is Kuggel because mom wanted to celebrate my name in memory of Hershey. So she named me Lochen Kuggel, noodle pudding. She says I am just the right color.

I hope that we have sent Hershey everthing for Passover. Here, we are getting the house ready for the holiday.

Have a good week and I will write again when mom lets me near the computer.

Hugs,

Kuggel

This is Meriam's Post.

Hershey has rounded up a crew to start looking for chumetz. He and the gang have started a major cleaning and hunting project. Maedy Susan is enlisting the help of Nike, Spartacus and Brandy to help with decorations, centerpieces and table settings for the seder. It will be a large event as everyone at the bridge takes part. The recipe for the purple eggs has been sent to Sophie Esther.

I put together and sent to the Hersh the Haggadahs in English and Hebrew so everyone can follow the story of the Exodus from Egypt. The pictures are so beautiful that everyone who can't read will be able to follow very easily. The holiday begins on Friday, April the 19th so there is much work yet to be done. Hershey keeps track of all the things being made and what still needs to be done.

He and the Schatz and Maedy will visit along with Elijaha as we open our front door wide.

Blessings to all at this most special time of year.

The Seders were just wonderful. The play was so much fun with the special Red Sea effects. There is a little complaining now as there is no bread

at the bridge for Passover. Spring has really sprung now and the gardens have already been designed. Max said he was an expert so he said he would love to help. Volunteers are springing forward with great enthusiasm. they are most anxious to help-especially digging the holes.

Have fun our babies-until we meet again.

Kuggel, the resident earth drillologist has sent his techniques for perfect holes to Max. Sil and Moz are carefully nuturing the in house window boxes which have sprouted and will be sent as soon as they are strong enough.

Soon ur babies will once again have bread.

Dear Meriam,
I wanted to thank you for the sweet post to Ollie on the other board.
I decided to answer it over here because the grief support board has been so busy with so many new losses and I didn't want their posts to move down faster and we have this wonderful Events Parties and more board where we can socialize and talk about our living pets more.

Ollie has a picture to share his daddy took and his Aunt Carol aka CareWolf made even more special for him.
Carol and I both receive the Kong Company news letter . My Ollie is a Kong expert and can never have to many.
Carol noticed in the news letter that someone had asked about a blue kong and the answer was that yes they did make one and it was only available from a veterinarian.
It seems it has a special way of being detected in x ray just in case a piece was chewed off which is almost impossible with a rubber Kong toy.
Well Carol went searching the net and found several places it could be purchased on line without being a vet.
Needless to say Jay, my husband and Ollie's daddy bought him one immediately.
It arrived in a few days and Ollie was so excited.
I swear he can smell them through the packaging when we order him one and it comes in the mail.
He was jumping up trying to get the package away from Jay before he could even open it.
Of course Jay took pictures and here is our favorite.
Ollie loves the new blue one but as you can see he had to keep the original red one that I bought him while we were still in training at the school.

Thank you for your special post for Ollie and we will see you here soon I hope.

Love and Peace,

AurichWolf

Dear Kathy,

Thank you and Ollie for the special picture. None of the Doxie boyz have liked Kongs. However, our cousin Shepherds and Labs all love Kongs. So I haunt all types of Pet stores and Pet supply stores for Kongs. In a place called the Sportsmans Warehouse in Helena, about 100 miles from where we liv, I found a camoflauge Kong and had to buy four one each for Aldo and D'Jango the Sheps and Glendale and Lassie the guide dog labs.

My boyz are into soft squeeky things, especiall these little squirrels with a stuffable branch. The also like the little fox toys but out by the Nature Place in San Fran. Mozie brings his squirrel tobed every night and snarls if anyone elsel looks at his toy.

My private e-mail is merisilhershmoz@yahoo.com or msnagel@mcps.k12.
