On Friday I surrendered my cat Max to a no kill shelter. I took her to the vet and she was given antibiotics for a possible UTI. But she continued to go to the bathroom on the floor of the litter box room. I cleaned it with pinesol. And then on the back porch. My husband got sick of the smell. We got into a huge fight. She is 16. I cried on the way to the vet, where the lady picked her up the next day. I am not able right now to forgive my husband. He got mad and threatened to shoot her. So I took her. Please don't judge me. I am heartbroken and I have (and do, judge myself more than anyone could). I don't know what else to say. I am just so sad. I can't explain it.

My heart is breaking for you. How awful of your husband to say that. It was good of you to take her to the no-kill shelter. I can't see that you had any choice, so you did the right thing. Hopefully Max will get lots of love there. I sure people who work at those places are serious animal lovers.
So sorry you're going through this.  ((((Hugs))))

Thank you Heidi. I feel so guilty. And I miss her a lot. I know the lady who runs the shelter and she works herself to the bone there. She has money so she doesn't have to volunteer there but she does. All the time. It is hard when they are with you for a long time. My dog would chase her and stress her out. She needs a home where there are no dogs. I am sorry I failed her.Thank you so much doe your kind words. Take care.
