It has been a long time since I have been on here and I am not really sure why.  But I wanted to thank everyone for their support back in March of '09 when I had to say goodbye to my Lab Syndey.  Not a day has gone by since 3/1/09, where I have not thought about her and the love and support this site gave me, as well. As I found out the pain is intense, initially, but with the help of eveyone here I made it through the first few days.  Time is also an amazing healer, for those of you that recently lost a loved one.  It will be better soon, you just have to be patient.

Thank you all again!

Time is a great healer!!  Our beloved pets will always be near and dear to us.  My sweet pet is on my mind many, many times during the day yet. They are a very special gift from God.

What a nice post!!  I too do not know how I would have made it through the initial loss of my dog had it not been for the caring souls on this site.  Three months ago I couldn't imagine making it through a single day without completely breaking down with immense grief.  Time is indeed a wonderful healer.  I still have quite a ways to go, so when I am feeling overwhelmed I come to this site and try to assure and comfort others whose pain is brutally fresh, and that helps us both.  ~ Cindy (BuddysMomNC)
