Okay folks, the boyz and I searched the entire state of Montana for Chocolate covered Matzah. None was found, not even the sniffing talents of the Doxies could uncover even one tiny box.

So this morning, armed witha box of last years Matzah and no recipe, we set out to perform a Miracle. I think the Red Sea would have been easier and the kichen would most certainly be cleaner and three Doxie would not be pouting because they got all eggy and had to have a bath each.

The chocolate melting went okay, the Matzah dipping, a little bit difficult, hence the gooy Doxie boyz, then the big Oy Veh, the chocolate would not dry on the Matzah, the tray slithered onto the kitchen floor, the Doxie trio got gooier, the experiemt was a flop, three boyz were scooped up and placed in the tub. Never try three Doxies in a tub, the bathroom then had to be hollandarized. Meanwhile, I but the soggy Matzah, chocolate and all out for our squirrels Rocky and Rachel and their brood. It is all gone as of about ten minutes ago.

So, this year there will be no chocolate covered Matzah and the Doxies are scrubbed clean, much to their chargrin.

Have a good chuckle,

Cute post!   Happy Passover to you and yours.....I hope that our babies have a wonderful Seder as well.  Nike LOVED Matzot, so of course we ate it year round.   Chag Sameach!    Jan

Thank you and a Sweet Passover to you and yours as well. I just finished the Charozet and the Gefilte fish. The first night Seder we do at a friends in Great Falls, the second night we do as a whole communtiy because we have many singles and many who do not know the whole schmear with a Seder.

Heschel loved Matzah brie with Maple Syrup. He did not like it with onions. Sil and Moz like food period. Kuggels first taste of fish was funny to watch.

Last year Moz found Elijahs cup and gulped the whole thing down. he was a little woozie the rest of the night. This year, the cup is going up high.

Guess what I've found.

Chocolate-covered matzo

Makes 4 sheets.

6 tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine
½ cup dark brown sugar
4 sheets regular unsalted matzo
8 tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips
1. Set the oven at 400 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with foil.

2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter or margarine. Add the sugar and stir well.

3. Place two matzos on each baking sheet. Divide the butter and sugar mixture among the sheets of matzo -- about 2 tablespoons for each one. With a rubber spatula, spread the mixture over the entire surface of matzo.

4. Bake the matzos for 6 to 7 minutes or until the topping is bubbly and brown.

5. Remove the sheets from the oven and immediately sprinkle each with 2 tablespoons of the chips. Let them sit for 30 seconds, then use a metal palette knife to spread the chocolate evenly.

6. Transfer the matzos to wire racks. Remove the foil from the baking sheets and set the racks on the sheets. Refrigerate for 30 minutes so the chocolate solidifies.

I had tears running down my face laughing.
I love reading about your pup's experiences and you tell the stories so well.
Thank you so much.

Dear Carol,
I can't believe you found this and posted it.
You just know I will have to try making it one day.
I hope I don't have the same problem with Ollie as Meriam had with her gang while making it lol.
