i was driving today and heard queen's 'you're my best friend' on the radio and thought it summed up my time with my Mia so perfectly. so i want to dedicate the song to my preicous Mia who I'm missing so much.
Which song would you dedicate to your furbaby? You're My Best Friend - Queen Ooh, you make me live Whatever this world can give to me It's you, you're all I see Ooh, you make me live now honey Ooh, you make me live Oh, you're the best friend That I ever had I've been with you such a long time You're my sunshine And I want you to know That my feelings are true I really love you (Ooh) Oh, you're my best friend Ooh, you make me live Ooh, I've been wandering round But I still come back to you (still come back to you) In rain or shine You've stood by me girl I'm happy at home (happy at home) You're my best friend Ooh, you make me live Whenever this world is cruel to me I got you, to help me forgive - oo oo ooh Ooh, you make me live now honey Ooh, you make me live Oh, you're the first one When things turn out bad You know I'll never be lonely You're my only one And I love the thing I really love the things that you do Oh, you're my best friend Oh, ooh, you make me live I'm happy (happy at home) You're my best friend Oh, oh, you're my best friend Ooh, you make me live Oo oo ooh You, you're my best friend...

Whenever I hear the aria from Saint- Saëns's "Samson & Delilah", I start crying. I love the Maria Callas version, but also the Klaus Nomi one too, and Jessye Norman performs an exquisite version you can see on youtube. I also like "Nessun Dorma" from Turandot, and I can imagine my little kitty going peacefully to sleep like he did so many times when he was with me. I like to think that he's just sleeping somewhere.

That is a great song to remind you of your baby, beautiful lyrics. Noone by Alicia Keys reminds me of my Nugs, it says that no one can get in the way of my feelings for him...also Don't want to miss a thing by Aerosmith...I could stay awake just to hear you breathing....I used to love listening to Nug's breathing... Oh how we miss our babies! Nuggetsmum Alana

It's not nearly as upbeat as Queen's, "You're My Best Friend," but I would dedicate Cat Stevens'
"How Can I Tell You": I long to tell you that I'm always thinking of you I'm always thinking of you, but my words just blow away, just blow away It always ends up to one thing, honey and I can't think of right words to say Wherever I am, I'm always walking with you I'm always walking with you, but I look and you're not there Whoever I'm with, I'm always, always talking to you I'm always talking to you, and I'm sad that you can't hear, sad that you can't hear It always ends up to one thing, honey, when I look and you're not there I need to hold you, need to feel my arms around you feel my arms surround you, like a sea around a shore and -- each night and day I pray, in hope that I might find you, in hope that I might find you, because heart's can do no more It always ends up to one thing honey, still I kneel upon the floor How can I tell you that I love you, I love you but I can't think of right words to say I long to tell you that I'm always thinking of you I'm always thinking of you.... It always ends up to one thing honey and I can't think of right words to say... I was a big CS fan and named my first cat, Cat Stevens. She graced my life for 19 after college, and my heart still aches for her. This song reminds me of her as well as Jack, who died so young. Huge hugs and peace to all hurting hearts. Deb / Jackswolf

The Queen song "Your My Best Friend" is also my song to Barkley. It seems perfect for our relationship.

I have two actually, and I think of Jasmine, every time I hear them: First: Goodbye My Friend, by Linda Ronstadt Second: Remember Me This Way, by Jordan Hill Here's a little from each: Goodbye My Friend: Oh we never know where life will take us, I know it's just a ride on the wheel, And we never know when death will shake us, And we wonder how it will feel; So, Goodbye my friend, I know I'll never see you again, But the love you gave me through all the years, Will take away these tears, I'm okay now, goodbye my friend, Life's so fragile and love's so pure We can't hold on but we try, We watch how quickly it disappears, And we never know why, But it's okay now, goodbye my friend. Remember Me This Way: Every now and then We find a special friend Who never lets us down, Who understands it all, Reaches out each time we fall, You're the best friend that I've found, I'll make a wish for you And hope it will come true, That life will just be kind To such a gentle mind, And if you lose your way, Think back on yesterday, Remember Me this Way, Remember Me this Way, I don't need eyes to see, The love you bring to me, No matter where I go, And I know that you'll be there, Forever more a part of me, You're everywhere, I'll always care,,,, Hugs to you, JasminesMom I remember every day my girl and miss you.

I'm sorry for your loss, you choice was a good one. My Sheba has been gone 3 months and I miss her so much. My song for her is the theme song from the Titanic Movie "My heart will go on" by Celine Dion. I'm a professional musician and I've been in the recording studio with a friend of mine putting down tracks for a re-make for my Sheba. We are going to do a Instrumental version and we will be playing all of the instruments. When finished I will put a tribute page here at petloss and use the song for my Sheba. It's the least I can do for 17 years of love and devotion she gave me. I even ordered a Pan Flute from Hawaii to play the flute parts in the song. It is really hard to play but I don't mind doing it for Sheba. I hope you will find peace with your Mia's passing and will soon only think thoughts of happiness you two spent together. Take care, Michael Every night in my dreams I see you, I feel you That is how I know you go on. Far across the distance And spaces between us You have come to show you go on. Near, far, wherever you are I believe that the heart does go on Once more, you opened the door And you're here in my heart, And my heart will go on and on. Love can touch us one time And last for a lifetime And never let go till we're gone. Love was when I loved you, One true time to hold on to In my life we'll always go on. You're here, there's nothing I fear And I know that my heart will go on. We'll stay, forever this way You are safe in my heart And my heart will go on and on. Love to you and everyone who has lost a furbaby.

Sounds kinda silly, but I used to sing Baby Boy, by Beonce, to Hankie. He was my baby boy, and he was so damn fine. Then, he would look up and do the "squinty face" at me.
Oh, sigh, the memories. Heather, Hankies forever Mommy

I love the Queen song! What a great tribute to your Mia and what a happy song to remember her by! I understand your missing her so...I feel just the same. Okay, here's silly for you, the song I used to sing to Max was "Good Morning, Beautiful" by Steve Holy (but really Max's favorite song was Louie Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World"!).
Good Morning Beautiful
Good morning beautiful
How was your night Mine was wonderful With you by my side And when I open my eyes And see your sweet face It's a good morning beautiful day I didn't see the light I didn't know day from night I had no reason to care But since you came along I can face the dawn Cause I know you'll be there Good morning beautiful How was your night Mine was wonderful With you by my side And when I open my eyes And see your sweet face It's a good morning beautiful day I'll never worry If it's raining outside Cause in here with you The sun always shines Good morning beautiful How was your night Mine was wonderful With you by my side And when I open my eyes And see your sweet face It's a good morning beautiful day, yeah A good morning beautiful...day.
