I was reading today's paper when the comics (my favorite section) brought tears to my face. It was the Family Circus.  The husband was imagining his wife in a daydream and he said

If I could reach up and hold

a star for every time you

made me smile....

I would be holding the entire

evening sky in the

palm of my hand.

I thought about Scruffy and Gimli....I know you all can relate to that.  How true that one little statement is.

Love,

Bev

Oh, Bev, thank you so very much for sharing that.   Seeing those words framing little Gimli's picture brought fresh tears.  Do you mind me asking--how did Gimli get his name?  It is so precious and unique (like him!).

Hugs,
Melissa

What beautiful words.  This pain just goes on and on without end.  Isn't it amazing how many things bring back memories of our Precious Angels?  We will miss them Forever.  Thank you for Sharing.  You, Scruffy and Gimli are in my Prayers.

Gimli got his name from Greg and I being huge fans of the Lord of the Rings.  My other two are named Sam and Frodo, best friends in the books and movies.  Gimli was a dwarf, but was full of personality, strong and brave.  Because of his little pork chop legs, it was Greg that actually named him Gimli.  In the dwarf language from Lord of the Rings, it means "little fire".

That is what he was.
