Dear Jack ("The Flying Cat"),

It's been two long years without you. Not a day has gone by that I have not remembered you. I blame myself for your passing because I let your diabetes go undiagnosed ~ I thought your blood sugar levels were only temporary altered from your stress of my being away to New York in The Spring of 2016. But you rebounded and started eating again, and I mistakenly thought you were on the mend.

But in the end, you started crashing, and I did not have the thousands of dollars to keep you at the emergency vet for a full week. I regret not getting a second opinion and seeing if a regular vet could treat you. This post is long overdue as I did not have the mental and emotional energy to post in The Summer of 2016. So I list my regrets today.

I Miss Your Hugs. Your Purrs. Your Endless Meows. What I'd give to come home to one of your five minute hugs as you greeted me at the front door. You'd nuzzle my chin each time I said "Kisses" and each time I said "Hugs" ~ How I miss our special bond! ❤️🐱

Dear Jack, Mama loves and misses you terribly ~ I send my Love & Hugs ~ and remember your chin nuzzles....Kisses and Hugs....Hugs and Kisses....and Kisses and Hugs....❤️🐱❤️🐱❤️🐱

Hi Cecis Mom,

I am so sorry to hear Jack has been gone for two years. What a wonderful life the two of you must have shared, filled with such incredibly deep love! I love the image you wrote about where Jack would give you a five-minute hug as he greeted you at the front door - we should all be so blessed to experience this kind of devotion and love in our lives!

I remember when you first came to this board and have wondered how you are doing. I hope things are going much better for you and that you have found peace and happiness in your life.

Happy 2-year Bridge Day anniversary, Jack! Hugs and purrs to you as your life is remembered and celebrated!
