I lost my best friend of over 19 years ago this past Wednesday and I haven't been able to sleep or stop crying Every time I think of her.. and I blame myself for the way she left us.... I don't know how but she fell into our pool and when we came outside to say goodnight we found her floating... we pulled her out immediately and tried for over cpr anything we could to bring her back but she wouldnt.. I was waiting for those big brown eyes to open and lick my tears like she always did when I would get sad...but she didn't I'm broken and every single minute I blame myself i feel guilty because we were going to take her to sleep but we couldn't get ourselves to do it prior I wanted my baby girl with us and now I feel horrible knowing she left us like this in a way that I would've never wanted . I just hope she knows that we loved her so much and that we miss her dearly , we have one of her daughters as our other dog and seeing her so sad just breaks me even more ... I just wished we didn't have to go through all this pain and anger, anger at myself... and most of all pain from losing her .... I wish she was still here ....

Manchitas, I am so sorry for your loss!  I am thinking of you tonight.
It sounds like time was running out for your baby one way or another, but it doesn't make it any easier to lose her even though you knew in your heart that her days on this earth were numbered.  We want them to stay with us forever, I can totally relate to that!
She loved you and she knew she was loved very much.  Dogs know these things!
Take care of yourself.

BrooklynDogMom,
Thank you for your kind words and like you said it doesn't make it any easier... I wish like we all do they could love forever and ever but like us we all have to go but the heartache left behind hurts so bad .. I'm just at peace knowing she is no longer suffering and is back to health at the rainbow bridge and when the time comes we will be reunited once again and I'll be able to look into those big brown eyes once again... 😭😢😢
Take care love!
