Hey everybody,
6 days ago I lost my world. My baby Willis who was 9 years old had a seizure at the vet. We would get her teeth trimmed every month as she had a spare growing from the side of her gum. She hated the vet and always knew when we got her cage ready, where she was going. We let her free roam and do as she pleased. I loved her so much she was fluffy loving and sassy. She was a lion head and although bunny’s can’t say much she communicated with her silly binking and following me around. We thought it was going to be another day at the vet and return home, but she had a seizure then heart attack and died. Her teeth were always a problem but she lived a good life as we never ever neglected her and made the biggest priority in the house. My mom and I have never cried so much in our lives. I take it day by day but my mom is grieving much deeper than me as she would stay with her majority of the day. I’ve felt guilt and even times want to blame the vet. My whole household is in shambles. She stopped eating her hay as much and would only want treats/ leafy greens and pellets, so her teeth weren’t getting the care they needed and grew rapidly hence why we took her to the vet every month. I feel bad, never have I struggled and felt so lost/depressed. I avoid the living room because that’s where she would stay and, my appetite, loss of sleep has been severe. I’m just posting for some help as I am in need of support, not many people understand how I am feeling and it’s tough getting advice from friends.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s sounds unbearable to have a routine trip turn into something more. The abruptness is what haunts me. My own cat Tiny, who passed on Friday went so suddenly that it’s hard to process. I hate it.

Hopes you take care of yourself and your family x
