Just wanted to let everyone know how Brett has been doing. As some of you remember, he had a mast cell tumor removed on June 20th, but the vet was not able to remove it all. There was still some cancer in his muscle tissue. We took him to a cancer center and the doctor recommended a second surgery with a surgical specialist and then a round of chemo to follow a few weeks later. She felt that Brett could stand to lose a little muscle tissue being the muscular fellow that he is. Brett had his second surgery this morning and I'm excited to report that he made it through just fine. He will be one sore young man for a while though. I pray that the surgeon was able to get it all this time. We will know in about 5 days. Please continue to keep Brett in your thoughts & prayers. We are determined to win this battle.
