I finally got the phone call from the Vet, after waiting for 10 days to get the results, and he told me that Icy doesnt have pemphigus, thank god.  But she has severe dermatitis.  Icy had 6 plugs taken, to determine what was wrong with her.

Icy has to have 2 baths a week to clear up all the hot spots that she has.  Right now she has
scaly, rough and oozing areas on the skin, accompanied by hair loss.   She is mostly bald and red in places where she should have fur, hoping that it grows back in soon.  I am so happy that I will have Icy for years to come now, with the right treatment.  I am happy.

Dear Andrea,
I have read your posts about Icy in the past and wondered what the outcome was.  Sounds really strange to say this, but, I'm glad it's dermatitis and not pemphigus!  See......it does sound silly!  In all honesty I wish she was perfectly healthy and had absolutely nothing wrong with her but if it's got to be something well dermatitis is fixable! Veterinary medicine is unbelievable now days isn't it?  The diagnostics and treatments and all....... ah-h-h-h the 21st century!  She is just a beautiful girl and I really am so happy that you got some good news! Guess now we should start praying for some good strong medicine to give her a quick recovery!  Be patient once again, as you have been........I have a feeling your precious girl will recover nicely!  I will keep both of you in my prayers! I am happy for you!

In friendship...
