Hello Folks,

Yesterday was Ceci's 2 year & 1 month anniversary of her passing.  Not a day goes by without me remembering the most wonderful seventeen months of my life with my precious Lil 'Ol Senior Gal.

Today I got a note on Facebook from an old high school buddy whose dad passed away in Texas, and she needs to rehome his pets.  Here is what she wrote:

hey Robin! I know you're an animal lover - if you hear of anyone looking to adopt a dog or cat, let me know. We're frantically looking for homes for my dad's beloved pets (he passed away on 9/13). He has 3 cats - a siamese, a Russian Blue, and a long haired grey cat. 2 outdoor only shepherd mix dogs. We're taking the "...old ladies" home, but don't have room for all of them! The hard part is they are in Texas, and we're trying to place them! But, if we have to bring them back to CA to find them a home, that's what we'll do!

Write me, private message me, click on the link for my email under my profile if you're interested.  Sounds like she is open to transporting these beloved pets if necessary to get them adopted.

There's a wonderful wave of adoptions going on right now, so I am sending these good thoughts out into the universe if any of my Pet Loss Family members wants to catch a ride and adopt a new furchild!

All of God's Blessings,

Ceci's Mom (Robin) and Mama to Lil' Red, my precious boy
                                                                  and The Pinny Gig

She was the light of my life
The heart of my soul

Bumping my own post up in case anyone knows of folks in Texas or beyond who may be interested in adopting one or more of these beloved pets.  My friend lives in California and mentions bringing them back to California if necessary, so I think she may be able to arrange other types of transport to other states.

Please send prayers even if you cannot help right now as I, too, must wait to adopt right now.

Dear Diane,

Thank you so much for your prayers and heartfelt concern.

The boards are so busy with so much grief that I am not sure folks who know me are even seeing my post.

I am also going to recommend rescue societies and no-kill shelters to my friend.  I know she does not want to surrender them to just any shelter for fears of euthanization.

I am truly hoping some Pet Loss Folks from Texas might read my message this week.

Thanks again, Diane,

Dear Robin, you might want to post on the underground rr portion of petloss.  Also tell them to post on Craigs list for their area.  Tell them to make sure they charge a small rehoming fee if they do post on Craigs list so whoever gets them will take care of them.  Tell them good luck from me.

Love,  Diane
