Please pray for Lee. He is a 14 year old kitty diagnosed with lymphosarcoma today. He is in the hospital and has had his first chemo treatment. He is a very very brave kitty. His Mom is distraught and I can't blame her. She is being so brave too. She visits him and actually stays with him for a good amount of time. Twice a day today. She leaves her work to come to the hospital . She really loves him. Poor Lee took a turn for the worse this afternoon and was having alot of problems. The cancer may be in his brain. He really needs prayers, good thoughts, anything at all that may help him fight this. He deserves so much better than all that has happened to him lately. It is not fair. He is so special. So, please do all you can to send health and love his way. He could really use it. So could his Mom.

May the Creator of All hold Lee and his mom tenderly close to Him and extend to Lee, through the vets, His great healing power.

Thank you all for your warm thoughts and prayers. Lee died last night at the ER. It is so sad. He did have lymphosarcoma high grade in the liver and they suspected it had gone to his brain as well because he was showing neurological signs. His retnas were detaching and he was loosing sight very rapidly. His mom did more than anyone could ever be expected  to do. One of the ways I could tell she loved him so, was that she agreed to treatments and such, but when she visited him she stayed with him for a good amount of time. She saw him two times that day, and the second time he was on oxygen on a table in the back and she came back and stayed with him and petted him and spoke to him the whole time until we had to do the chemo and transfer him to ER. Most people come to visit, but in such a situation they are uncomfortable and will only stay a minute. I know she loved him and  know even though he was in such bad shape he was very aware she was there and that she loved him. Just not fair. She did everything she should have and could have and still he died.

Sorry to ramble on. This kitty has deeply scarred my heart and the image of him is burned on my soul forever. Try not to remember what we cannot forget. I have some scratches on my hand from when he first came in, I was anoying him by trying to make sure that he was comfortable, and he politely told me in cat words he wanted me to leave him alone. The scratches are starting to fade and I wish they would not.

Thank you all again.

Sorry to hear that he didn't make it, so sad.  So much cruelty in the world and then people who love their pets so much and can't save them.  It's not fair.

I am so sorry that dear little Lee did not make it.  It seems that once the neurological problems start, there is no turning the damage around. I know this.
My thoughts and prayers are with little Lee and his family, and with you, Loudpurring, for caring so much.

Loudpurring,

I am so sorry to hear that beloved Lee has passed.  Lymphosarcomas are such dreadful tumors and can have bad prognoses even with treatment, especially if associated with other disease.   It sounds like he was so blessed to have such a loving mom who stayed beside him to the end.   We should all be so lucky in our final hours.  I know Lee is running and playing like a kitten at the Bridge tonight, so "let not your heart be troubled".   He so deserves to be free of all that pain and suffering...and now he is.

Sending hugs,
Melissa

Dear Loudpurring,

I'm so sorry that littleLee didn't make it.  Even though he's gone he touched many lives forever with the love he shared with those left behind.  I hope he is healthy and whole now at the Rainbow Bridge and playing with all of our furbabies.

Hi Loudpurring,

I am so sorry for this kitty's owner.
She is probably devastated and needs comfort and support.
We all know hos that shock is when we have lost one we love so much.
She sounds like a wonderful Fur Mom.
Please give her the link to petloss.com so she can come here and get the love and support she must need.
I'm sure we would all welcome here with open arms.
Some who come here  have given their vet's office fliers they have made and copied explaining  about Rainbow Bridge and what petloss.com is  all about.
They put  the url to the site on them.
The vets of office personnel can give them to clients who have lost a loved pet or are devastated by serious illness of a pet.
I'm sure many you come in contact with could benefit from something like that.

Love and Peace,
AurichWolf

Thank you all for your kind words. I have been off the last two days since it happened, and I just can't seem to get the poor little guy out of my head. I was to depressed to even leave the house the first day and haven't done much better since. I dread having to work in the morning. I know it is easy to say "It wasn't your cat" and people think I am "weird" to get so attached so quick, but they don't understand me and never will. Some people just don't "get it". Actually most people don't "get it". I, there is nothing I can seem to do to get this out of my head. He was such a good cat. He had a personality, and a soul and a true......Oh, it doesn't matter, he is gone now. And nothing will bring him back and I think that it is wrong. Everything about everything is so very wrong. It is all so wrong. Sorry to go on about this it is hard to explain. I don't know what's wrong with me lately.

I gave the owner the link, as I do with all pet losses at the hospital. Unfortionatley I can't have fliers to hand out at work. But, I make sure to tell them and if I can write down the website. With this one though, I didn't know I wouldn't be seeing him again. But, I did tell her the site when we were finding out how bad his illness was. Poo little cat. Not fair at all.

Let me say first of all, it gives me such comfort to know that there are such people as yourself working and caring for our animals.

You are very special that you give love so easily.  Unfortunately for you, because of that it brings you so much pain.

Thank you for being you, never change.

May you find peace in your heart, God Bless, Di xxx

It's so true that we are all blessed when we hear of special people like you who help to care for our loved ones when we need to leave them at the vet's office.
It gives great comfort to know that those who care for them honestly develop a bond with them and try to comfort them when their family can't be there.
May you find peace in knowing that you do what ever you can for those who are in need of love and comfort when they are so sick and also in knowing that sometimes there is just nothing more any one can offer then that.
It is often the last touch of love they will ever feel so when you are in a position to offer that then you too have been blessed just as have the owners of such wonderful fur babies.

Love and Peace,
AurichWolf
