Today, Saturday, I watched the animal shows on TV. All the ones that deal with pets and was surprised to see the lady vet break down and started crying caring for a dog. She said "He reminds me of mine I no longer have with me!" Made me tear up also.
Sometimes with the mention of him or something triggers a memory of him and I tear up and can't talk for awhile.
They sure get into your heart?
Just some thoughts,

You are so right, David...…..

These wonderful beloveds that we welcome into our lives have such a special gift for bringing out emotions of love, caring, and selflessness that sometimes we may not even know we had within us. We free ourselves of all emotional inhibitions with these wonderful beings when they share our lives, and for that, we should all be thankful. As we welcome these wonderful beings, while we provide for them love and companionship, they provide for us the same unconditionally, and for that, we are truly better people.

As an aside, I have to say it is truly a special veterinarian who is not afraid to share their emotions when it comes to the caring of a beloved, and the love they show for their patients and beloveds. Theirs is a truly exceptionally noble pr0fession.

Just serves to confirm a very simple thought......

All is well with love,

They sure do get into your heart - and there they stay forever.  Each one is unique and wonderful in his or her own way.  John puts it very well.  That unconditional love does indeed make us better people.
