Buck passed away yesterday and I’m so sad. Buck knew he was loved and had a great life, but I can’t shake a huge sense of guilt and grief. I wish I had hugged him instead of just patting his head when I walked by him. I wish I had played with him more instead of just watching tv with him at my feet. I’m so depressed. I don’t know how I will live without him. I don’t know if I want to live without him. Please pray for me. I can’t stop crying. I miss him so much.

Dear Scott615,
As you replied to my post, I too am sorry for the passing of your Buck. It hurts and you'll never be the same. You can go on, as I have. In the beginning I didn't want to live without Termy but I know that my mission here on earth isn't over. Buck and Termy served their mission in life. Their mission was to love us and teach us how to live in the moment and enjoy life. You'll cry a lot, I did for the first six months and the crying lessened but I still shed tears for Termy almost daily. In time you will remember the journey and all the good times. Please don't regret just patting him on the head instead of hugging him, he was there at your feet because that is where he wanted to be. He was close to you and shared your space. You were loved and loved with all your heart. Be gentle with yourself for a while, grieve, cry and be sad, it's all part of the journey you are taking now with out Buck. He was happy that he shared his life with you.
Love and doggie hugs
Termy's mom
