I had a dog named Max. He was only two years old when he got out of the house and disappeared. I still don't know what happened to him. That caused as much pain as this that I'm going through now. Saxon happened to be Max's puppy. I took money instead of pups when we bred my Max with another adorable Yorkie Suri. My best friend Linda's mom owned Saxon. I would go over to the house and cry my eyes out because Saxon was Max's puppy. The wonderful lady who owned him, Mrs Gladys had cancer several times and she stopped me in her kitchen one day after I had been crying and said "Robyn if anything happens to me you can have Saxon". I of course said "nothing is going to happen to you because you've had cancer several times and you have beaten it every time".I mean this woman had breast cancer, brain cancer, lung cancer, etc. She was very strong and a very religious lady. Well, that great lady ended up passing away in 2002. Shortly after that her husband gave me Saxon which thrilled me. It filled up that whole that Max had left and I also had Mrs.Gladys' baby boy. She treated him like I did. He was spoiled rotten. All of this makes losing him all the more depressing. It's like losing Mrs. Gladys and Max all over again. On a side note I found video of Saxon and Rusty last night. It's so sweet but so sad to watch. Saxon was barking on the tape and I thought Rusty was going to jump out of his skin. I had to turn the volume down.

Here is my mouse with Big Bird. That was his favorite toy. This pic was taken April 22nd after he came home from his little surgery. I went to put Big Bird in with him when I buried him but I couldn't bare it. I sleep with Big Bird Now.

Robyn,
What a wonderful story, sad, so very sad but also very wonderful. That Mrs Gladys thought enough of you to give her Saxon to you. That says alot right there. I am glad that you got to have Max's son with you for so many years.

My heart breaks for each and every one of us who happen to be here on this site as it means that we have lost our loves. That we are going through such a hard time and will have broken hearts for so long, if not forever...

I see why Saxon was so very special to you.

It's really really sad but then it's comforting to think that Mrs. Gladys got him back again. I know he's in a better place but a part of my family is missing. I am devastated. I hate even saying "devastated", "crushed", "sad". I'm more than that. There's gotta be a better word.

Just last Friday I was in the car with Saxon playing Abba's  "Dancing Queen" and I was holding him and pretending he was dancing (I'm sure he was thrilled). It's hard to believe he's gone now. I decided I'm writing everything down that I can remember about him because I can't remember a lot about his daddy Max and I'm mad at myself for that. Maybe a little Saxon journal :)

Dear Robyn:
I am so sorry for your loss of Precious Saxon.  He is absolutely adorable.  I lost my Little Angel Christopher almost 16 months ago.  I still cry for him every day and miss him as much today as the day he left.  I still cannot believe he is really gone.  He brought so much Joy into my life and when he left the Joy left with him.  He was my Heart, My Soul and My Best Friend.  I understand your pain and wish I had some words of wisdom for you. Unfortunately I have found nothing to ease this overwhelming pain.  I am sure that all of our Angels are taking good care of Saxon for you.  I am sure that Gladys is helping too.  I know tht Saxon will be waiting for you when you arrive.  You and Saxon are in my Prayers.

Big Hugs

Thanks you guys! Everyone here is so kind. I hope the hurt doesn't keep anyone from ever getting another dog, cat, bunny, etc. I always say it's better to have them and lose them then to never have had them at all.
