I am writing from Atlanta, where our family came for a Bat Mitavah of our grand-daughter.  Our four dogs were at Camp Bow Wow during our trip and about an hour ago, I received word that our 15 year old miniature Schnauzer, Winston, died in his sleep last night.  Our remaining three - Shayna, mini dachsie and Penny - schnoodle and Charlie, our adopted MaltiPoo - are all doing fine.  Winston passed quietly and considering that in 2005 we had to Lambchop, an adopted apricot toy poodle to sleep, this - however upsetting - is far easier emotionally save for the fact that we are HERE and not with him.  Life cannot be controlled.

Winston will be buried in the backyard next to Lambchop.  Prayers and wishes for a lovely schnauzer.

Dear Bob,  I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  It is much better, like you said, that they go on their own terms.  You have my deepest sympathy.  You will be in my thoughts and prayers as you start down yet another path to healing.

Love,  Diane, Mom of Miss Dallas at the bridge 8 years.

Our sympathy on the passing of Winston. I will think of him the next time we have services here in Great Falls and we are able to say Kaddish. Peace to you and your familt as you mourn for Winston. Meriam, Silver, Ha'MotziMozart, Kuggel and Ruggelah

Dear Bob,

I am so sorry your sweet Winston has passed away.  I know how hard it must be for you and your family being away from him when it happened. Our precious babies go home when God calls them and it is never the right time.  I hope your other dogs are coping with the loss of their companion.

Bob ~ My heart is with you in the loss of Winston. I'm sure it was a horrible shock to get the news. Will be thinking of you. Hugs of comfort, Lori

Many thanks for the warm thoughts.  We drove home from Atlanta today in one full trip, and my daughter plus her husband were at the home.  They picked up all dogs at Camp Bow Wow including Winston, then dug a very large hole in the backyard.  We arrived at about 9:30 pm and had a full service for Winston, complete with Kaddish prayer.  He was buried with a pillow, blanket, a ball and some treats.  We will be missing him very very much indeed.  He is sleeping next to Lambchop, our adopted toy poodle who was with us until June 2, 2005.
