Sept. 28th we lost Charlie. Oct. 4th we lost Yoda. Charlie was a small, fuzzy little Mini Sheltie/Pom mix and Yoda was a long haired mixed breed kitty. I will post their pictures in my online album. Charlie was only 5 or 6 years old, and Yoda was born in our house - 19 years later she passed away in the same house. Her brother, Midnight, had passed away in our house 2 years ago.

It's weird, not having them around. Yoda passed away from old age, but she was getting weaker as time went on. She was losing weight, becoming nothing but bone no matter what we tried. She started pulling her hair out a few weeks before she left for the Rainbow Bridge. She was blind in one eye, we aren't sure what happened. She had a kinked tail, she had that when she was born. We aren't sure how she got that either, but it made her even cuter. She reminded me of a cabbit. We called her Yoda because when she was born, her ears were so big and so floppy that she looked like Yoda from Star Wars.

Charlie was super fluffy. He was also very smart. But he had a rough start in life. My mother in law got him from a lady when he was a small puppy. He was tiny, and could fit in the palm of your hand at a few months old. He broke his leg early in life, and then took a tumble and nearly broke it a second time. He became good buddies with Chance, my mother in laws other dog who adopted her from an abusive situation. Charlie also loved to chase cows, and would, along with Chance, herd them out of the yard. He loved playing with his "squirrel" which was another word we use for toy, ball, etc.

The houses are quieter now. It's strange. I have been through this so many times in my life, and it never gets any easier.

Yoda, say hi to Midnight and Vyce and the gang for us. Charlie, say hi to Kuma and Bingo and the gang for us. We love and miss you both. Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge, have fun, enjoy being pain free and healthy, and know that we love you.

I’m sorry to hear of your losses of Charlie & Yoda. I love how Yoda got her name, so sweet. It sounds like they had a great life with you.

It’s so hard when the house is quieter isn’t it, or just empty. I’ve had many losses too, but my recent loss of Raisin has hit me the hardest.

I take comfort in that I will see him and all my others at Rainbow Bridge too.

Thank you VickyMJ for your kind words. It is hard when it is quieter, you are correct. I am sorry for the loss of your sweet Raisin, but you are also correct again - I too take comfort in knowing we will see them all again one day. Thank you.

Much Love,

Kuma and Vyce's Momma
